Buying direct tends to be more time consuming as a you have to negotiate with the website owner about payments, pricing etc.

Network Media Buying

Ad networks are a great way to gain a high volume of traffic for your campaign without having to deal with hundreds of different websites  individually. Some media networks will allow to target demographics such as location, age group, gender etc.
